You can tell this person was an idiot, because a 3-series GT rides on a 5-series platform anyway - it's a platform that's basically only used in china in their sedans for the extra long wheelbase.

This is someone who saw the practicality of more cargo space, but WANTED to spend more money on a 5-series than just getting a 3-series with almost identical cubic space.
